I'm your pretty average blogger who needs some space to pour out my random rants and raves when there's a need to...

I'm Xiaohan...

Entries for May, 2008

May 18th, 2008

Rant ... rant...

Well, I only blog one entry for the whole of MArch and none for April... *gasp in mock shock*

The blog is going dead pretty soon at the rate I keep out... but there seriously isnt much to say around here animore

Was contemplating switching  to Myspace or LiveJournal but find it a hassle to create another account, come up with new blog template and all e other "blog technicalties" ...

Something happen in work that make me pretty frust'd... feel lyke jus sayin bye bye sometimes... no, it wasn't just cause of this, but some other stuff build up over e time

It's jus lyke, when it happens e first time, it makes u mad, but if it happens a few times, it makes u even madder... I know I'd my share of responsibility to shoulder, and I DO ADMIT my OWN MISTAKES, no one need to cover up for mi, THANK U VERY MUCH

BUT sometimes, its irritating that U kena sandwitch'd between diff. ppl, one ur boss, another side colleagues U gotta work closely with... some things jus need to be clarify, it IS NOT my say to decide certain things, jus cause I'm assistant doesn't mean I'm some big shot right hand person to the big boss who can make decision... certain decisions comes at a cost, and in very certain terms, I' m not gona be that IDIOT who will be make that liable black sheep for e rest of my life

It jus so damn scary when so many parties are waiting to pin point e blame on U ... even ur own boss is joining in e game and can't even protect U for the least... I'm seriously tired, I know this is how e real world functions, how office politics are to be, but in here, a company I know and work frontline and "backline" for e past few years?

I'm sorry, I just gotta rant... wasnt in a good mood...

B'lated words & thoughts ....

This is kinda B'lated.... ok, its VERY B LATED

Here Goes

Happy Mother's DAy, Mama... and also to all e lovely mothers outta there, be it young or old

Its already mid May, nearly half a year of 2008 gone liao

But what terrifies me is not how fast time flies but rather, so much taht has happen

First it is Myanmar, then as if it wasn't bad enough, China got hit as well

Cyclone, earth quake, mass fire, pollution, diseases, terrorism, tsunami waves

Some may urge that some or all of the above may have prevail or existed all along, lets' say, the Tang Shan big quake that kill many as well many years ago

But to think of it, why issit all surfacing at almost the same time or even overlapping each other (quake & Cylcone in CHina and Myanmar)?

Why was it all coming when we are all least prepare and far too comfortable with our lives to even take a proper look @ e world?

It's frightening, and even depressing to turn on the TV, to see e death toll climbing up, to know how many orphans had been make daily as wailing children are found in debris without parents, scared, injured, having face death, having lost a love one, some too young to understand e pain, some numb beyond pain to even feel sadness ...

It's a sick sick thing, that we only realize, how vulnerable and fragile human life is... or rather, how worthless it can be when disaster strikes, when how many screams and very last pleas for survival went unheard

I was in Hainan a few months ago, and saw Olymics 2008 signs being put up everywhere, flashy TV commentaries welcoming the prestigious event that comes only once in every 4 years... pictures of smiling families and young vibrant altheles waving at the camera. Things are looking good certainly, probably nobody will expect a massive 7.5 earth quake to hit one of their more densely populated city, Sze Chuan... or expect the 50,000 ++ death toll that is come along with it, the 50K dead that will include a majority of their promising next generation young people who are mostly an only child to their single child parents (due to some old time policy to cut down on over population) that are wipe out from the quake when most of them are still in schools...

And not too far away, another country still smell freshly of death and wailing for it's ppl demise, with less death toll, but worst conditions, less aid and financial help, not because outsiders R unwilling or too pre occupied with China to help, but because the government REFUSE to accept outside AID Or resources,... in the face of sickness, death, decay and threats of outbreak of diseases from mul nourishments, poor conditions etc etc... really wana help? Sure.,.. give them e money, they will in turn buy supplies 2 HELP their own ppl... RITE, ass holes ... these death rates sure meant nothing 2 ya huh ... what matters is keeping ur pocket full right ... I hope wherever ur staying, the cyclone, or storm, or typhoon, or whatever U call their fellow brothers or sisters,  would hit U the hardest of all, but leave U alive and stranded, just like howall the others R ... BASTARDs, I'm sure U all know which country I'm referrin 2 ritz

Ok, sorry, I got too carry away... sorry, I know that there is little for me to hlp or do, in terms of financial or humanitarian aid, but whatever I can donate, or put in the form of words to make anyone feel better, I will try my best... God blessed all of ya ppl there in China and Myanmar ... I'm sure the darkness will be over soon, hang in there and be strong

House ...

Omg... I finally get to w atch this... for free on Channel 5

So happy = )

At last I get to catch the charismatic doctor and his team @ wrk on tv, and the first episode totally blew mi away

Though these are not things which we will be likely to get in an actual hospital scenario

It only makes e show more enjoyable in anyway, with good looking ppl (includin' House of course), witty exchanges between charcters, House sometimes sarcastic but heart felt remarks, and CSI style case studies (in medical terms of course, minus e serial killer stuff)... this is one damn fine show ,,,

Ok, this may only be season 1 (cable tv is showin like, season 4 already?), and there may have been a long long way to go b4 we get 2 watch season 4 on free tv, but yups, I shall be patient and wait for it to progress... no rush, a good show is worth waiting

House is airing every Friday on channel 5, 11.30pm... not the best of al times, but at least its on a Friday (think for those who no need 2 wrk on Saturday)
