I'm your pretty average blogger who needs some space to pour out my random rants and raves when there's a need to...

I'm Xiaohan...

I can be pretty much anyone U met off the streets...

I can be loud, offensive, entertaining, dull or simply mundane ...

I don't promise interesting reads everyday...

But what U see here is 100 percent true reflection of my life...

Entries for November, 2007

November 3rd, 2007

A quick word...

Whew, finally the worst of the after surgery days are over. Swelling down, ulcers healing and throat clearing up. Has also just completed my Grade 5 piano theory exam. Hope I did well enough to get a distinction this time (wheeee...).

The only nuisance now will be that my right foot was still hurting (I sprained it last week) and despite that it didnt really cause much problems in terms of walking and going about, I m pretty much still refrain from dancing and doing rigorious exercises =(.

On a lighter note, I shall be returning to work on Monday and making myself busy with the upcoming Christmas preparation works. Hopefully there ain't too much I've miss for my past week of absense.

Before that, will be going on a one day Batam trip with all my office colleagues tomorrow. Will comes back with lots of delicious goodies and treats and hopefully some good movie titles (hehehe U knw what I mean).

As in regards to S377A, its hard not to feel their pain and sadness when after so much hard work and effort has been put in, only to have it all thrown back to their faces in the end. I was one of the many many open minded (as well as open hearted) Singaporeans who signed the Open Letter email online. I can't say I fully understand what it would be like but can pretty much guess how heart wrenching it would be for those who really hope to see this come true, how close we all think it would be until the results are reveal otherwise.

Sometimes, can't help but pounder over this, we are always aiming to be a more advanced and open minded society, to keep changing for the better in order to keep up with times and other nations, then why do we hang onto a (I dare say) redundant piece of law which serves neither to protect or do anybody any good, but rather to only make us look like a more petty and reserved nation overall? With all's said and done, let's hope this is all subject to change in the future.
